Sustainability, Certification & Safety

We have worked closely with our suppliers to ensure the products we sell are as sustainable and ethical as possible. 

For out Charnwood's Child range;

Wooden items are either Bamboo or Beech Wood and we only use raw materials that are FSC Certified. 

Our Silicone is always food grade, is safe for dishwashers, microwaves and freezers and is BPA, PVC and Phthalate free.

We aim to source as many of the soft textiles on our site from organic sources and we clearly describe when an item is certified organic so you know what you are purchasing. Where items are not organic, we have usually opted for an alternative but more sustainable material (such as Bamboo fibre).

All of our toys and teethers are EN71 tested and further inspected here in our offices. 

For the brands we stock;

We expect the brand we work with to have a sustainability policy at the very least and hopefully be working to improvements in their supply chain at all times. We are careful to ensure that textiles are sourced from factories that pay staff fairly and only look to work with brands who are transparent about their supply chain.


For packaging;

We deliver almost every parcel without plastic and in totally recyclable/reusable packaging. Some items arrive to us with protective covers on and these may have safety warnings on that mean they are essential....we are working on it though.
