Our Story

Hi, I'm Lauren, mama of one and master of non, lover of slow Sundays and chocolate hobnobs and I want you to know why Charnwood's Child is so special to me. When my daughter Wallis was born I discovered a new way of looking at our world; living in Charnwood we had abundance of beautiful forests and parks and seeing how she used her imagination inspired me to think of toys differently.

I began to spend far too long trying to find a site that delivered the best in quality, craftsmanship and aesthetics but which also put the sole focus of natural and imaginative play at the heart of their designs. When I increasingly found myself having to look further afield, discovering brands in Greece, Russia, Denmark and USA I decided to bring them all under one roof, this roof!
